Trevose, PA – Lenox Instrument Company’s Tin Bath Periscope System provides real time, high-resolution images in the tin bath environment. A specially-designed and proven water-jacketed lens assembly enables operation in this hostile, 1800°F (982°C) environment.
Major glass manufacturers around the world rely on the Tin Bath Periscope System to monitor and record the amount of trim being produced, the wheel depth and tracking, the function of the automated drive systems, and the top knurl wheels. Being able to actually see what is happening inside the tin bath greatly reduces scrap by ensuring ribbon integrity and overall process efficiency.
The Tin Bath Periscope System is a complete remote viewing package, including the lens system and water jacket, the camera housing, and the high-resolution CCD camera (540-line horizontal). The lens system has a 2.5-in O.D., and is available in 8’ (2.4m) and 10.5’ (3.2m) lengths.
The system provides a 30-degree field of view at a right-angle direction. A temperature sensor is included to monitor temperature at the lens objective.
Optional accessories include a choice of LCD monitors and a monorail insertion / retraction assembly. The monorail assembly includes a reinforced monorail track for mounting to the tin bath. The periscope is coupled to a trolley assembly by way of two mounting sleeves.
Each Lenox Tin Bath Periscope System is designed, manufactured and serviced in-house by Lenox Instrument, and is backed by an industry-leading two-year warranty.
